longing for the high

I did not get to start visiting Colorado until my husband, Bret, and I started dating. In the two years we have been together I have been lucky enough to see Colorado twice thus far; once in the Summer, then again in the winter. Colorado is the most beautiful place on Earth. Do not get me wrong. I love Texas and I completely adore Texas but there is something about seeing mountains and feeling the presence of nature all around you that really makes you appreciate the beauty Colorado has to offer you. I am longing to be in Colorado right now desperately!

I recently have been gaining a new love and respect for the color purple - I find there is a certain beauty in the richness that is so much different then blue, orange and even red. If you research the color you will fine it is associated with royalty and it took many expensive dyes to make the exact color needed. Last time I saw my brother, Aaron, he showed me a picture of bacon and told me it was for my beauty website. So this post is for my brother Aaron who sees beauty in bacon. But then again, who doesn't?!

peacful sunrise

in the mornings I get up at 6:00am to head to our gym to workout. I love this time in the morning because as soon as I get downstairs I am always presented with the most gorgeous sunrises. Some mornings the clouds are bright pink and orange, some mornings, like today, you can see the moon still high as ever with Venus shining bright right along with her or, some mornings it is cloudy and mysterious. No matter the morning, no matter the sunrise, this time of day is always my favorite because it is here that I feel God is showing his beauty to me and it is in that moment, that I feel close to him.
